Jamestown's "Hybrid" Parking Rules
Unlike other cities, Jamestown utilizes a unique hybrid system to manage street cleaning in the summer and heavy lake-effect snow plowing in the winter. The city is divided into two distinct seasons with completely different rules.
Winter Rules: Daily Alternate Parking (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
During the winter, parking alternates every single day. Vehicles must park on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd calendar days, and the even-numbered side on even calendar days. The daily changeover time is strictly at 10:00 AM.
Summer Rules: Monthly Alternate Parking (Apr 1 - Oct 31)
Recently extended to cover October, the summer rules dictate that parking switches only once a month. You park on the odd-numbered side during odd months, and on the even-numbered side during even months.
