Hudson Winter Parking Rules

To ensure roads can be cleared during the winter season, the City of Hudson strictly enforces alternate side street parking rules 7 days a week. The standard rules require you to park on the odd side of the street for odd-numbered calendar dates, and the even side for even-numbered calendar dates.

The Midnight Rule

The daily alternate side regulation begins at exactly 12:00 AM (midnight) and lasts until 8:00 AM. Because the changeover happens at midnight, if you are parking your car in the evening to leave it overnight, you must park for tomorrow's date to comply with the rule by the time it starts.

City of Hudson Snow Emergencies

When a Snow Emergency is officially called, standard timing changes. You must proceed to move your vehicle to the correct side immediately. If you choose to leave it parked, it must be moved every 24 hours from the time the emergency was called. At no time during a Snow Emergency is parking allowed on both sides of any street. Vehicles not in compliance will be towed and subject to severe penalties.

Got a Ticket or Towed?

The Hudson Police Department actively enforces these rules. If your vehicle is towed during a snow emergency, you will be responsible for all fines and towing fees.
